Scope of Work
This contract requires the design, manufacture, and performance of CASE,AFTERBODY TORP components in accordance with drawing 6934935. Key requirements include:
- Marking: Physical identification per MIL-STD-129.
- Serialization: Marking each unit with a serial number as per DWG 6934935 Rev "P" note 18, including Unique Identification (UID) IAW MIL-STD-130. Serial numbers must be obtained from NUWC_NPT_SerialNumbers@navy.mil.
- Configuration Control: Adherence to MIL-STD-973, including submission of Engineering Change Proposals, Deviations, and Waivers.
- Mercury-Free: All materials must be free from metallic mercury and contamination, critical for use on submarines/surface ships. Written approval is required for any functional inclusion of metallic mercury.
- Packaging: In accordance with MIL-STD 2073.
Quality Assurance
The contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements, maintaining a quality system acceptable to the Government, in accordance with ISO 9001. Suppliers currently using MIL-I-45208 may continue to utilize it. Records of inspection must be kept for four years after final delivery.
