Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To repair an underground water supply pipe that feeds two fire hydrants outside of an aircraft fuel cell hangar, ensuring the leak is mitigated and full operating capability of the fire hydrants is restored.

• Provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control for Excavation and Water Main Repair Services.

• Restore full operating capability of fire hydrants in accordance with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA 409, and NFPA 25.

• Excavate the area around the break, remove the damaged pipe, and install a new section of 8" ductile iron piping.

• Disinfect, flush, and test the repaired section of water piping per AWWA Standard C651.

• Install concrete thrust blocks or approved joint restraint systems.

• Backfill the excavated area and restore the surface.

• Conduct a fire flow test to verify required flow rate.

• Period of Performance: 3 months.
