First Article Testing (FAT): Required per FAR 52.209-3. The contractor must present one unit (CAGE 1HBK1, Part MILJ26013) for dimensional, form, fit, and function tests, and compliance with drawings. FAT Waiver: NAVSUP WSS may waive FAT if the offeror previously furnished identical production articles accepted by the Government/OEM within three years, using the same production location, facilities, processes, and approved subcontractors, without prior material review board dispositions or rejections. Offerors requesting a waiver must submit two prices: one with FAT, one without.
