Scope of Work

This solicitation outlines requirements for the procurement of "COUPLING" components, emphasizing:

• Item Unique Identification and Valuation (IUID).
• Inspection and Acceptance procedures, including fixed-price inspection and acceptance at destination.
• Quality Assurance requirements as detailed in the Individual Repair Part Ordering Data (IRPOD). Contractors must maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government.
• Packaging specifications, particularly MIL-PRF-23199 for repair parts and MIL-DTL-24466 green poly bags for cleanliness-controlled items. MIL-STD 2073 packaging also applies. Fire retardant packaging is no longer required.
• Compliance: Contractors must provide a Certificate of Compliance (DI-MISC-81356) at the time of material delivery to NAVSUP-WSS code N9433. A separate certificate is required for each unique combination of Contract/Purchase Order Number, National Stock Number, and Item Nomenclature.
• Mercury Exclusion: Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are prohibited from being intentionally added or coming into direct contact with hardware or supplies.

Supporting technical data is required for alternate items. These requests must be submitted to the Government Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) and then forwarded to the Post Award PCO.
