Scope of Work

- Marking: In accordance with MIL-STD-129.
- Process Qualification: Vendors must comply with and qualify processes for vulcanization of chloroprene rubber (NAVSEA Drawing 8482161), installation of vibration damping tiles (NAVSEA Drawing 8482159), bonding with epoxy adhesives (NAVSEA Drawing 8482158), and gap filling (NAVSEA Drawing 8482160). Requalification is required if materials or processes change.
- Mercury-Free: Strict requirements for materials to be free from metallic mercury and contamination, critical for submarine/surface ship use.
- Configuration Control: Adherence to MIL-STD-973 for Engineering Change Proposals, Deviations, and Waivers.
Testing & Quality Assurance
