Quick Summary

The Department of the Navy, specifically NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia, intends to issue a sole-source presolicitation to The Boeing Company (CAGE: 81205) for the procurement of a Connector (NSN 1R-5935-LLF02N798-P8, REF NR BACC63CT11-35SN) for the P-8 aircraft. This procurement is for a spare part where Boeing is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only known source. The Government does not possess the necessary data or rights to procure this part from additional sources.

Scope of Work

This requirement is for one (1) each of the specified aircraft connector, delivered FOB Origin, to support the P-8 aircraft. The sole-source justification is based on the Government not owning the data or rights needed to purchase this part from additional sources.

  • Anticipated Solicitation Issue Date: May 6, 2026
  • Anticipated Solicitation Response Date: June 6, 2026
  • Anticipated Award Date: August 6, 2026

Response & Evaluation

While the Government intends to negotiate with only Boeing, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation for consideration. Information received will be used to determine if a competitive procurement is feasible. Firms not currently approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR); however, this procurement will not be delayed for SAR approval. The acquisition will use provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 15, not FAR Part 12.

UID requirements and Buy American Clauses will apply. Electronic procedures will be used, and the RFP/Solicitation will be posted to NECO. No telephone requests or hard copies will be honored. Contact: Deja Thompson-Mitchell at deja.s.thompson-mitchell.civ@us.navy.mil.
