- Certification and Traceability: Components must be new, unused, and conform to commercial standards. Traceability documentation (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3, Certificate of Conformance, Part Manufacturer Approval (PMA) Documentation) is required to verify the supply chain.
- Authorized Release Certificate: All delivered components must be accompanied by a properly executed FAA Form 8130-3 from an FAA-approved production approval holder, certifying conformity to FAA-approved design data and condition for safe operation.
- Delivery and Packaging: Items shall be packaged per standard commercial practices to prevent damage. Shipments must be traceable and include packing lists.
- Warranty and Support: A standard commercial warranty, at least equal to those provided to commercial customers, must be included, covering workmanship and replacement parts. Technical support must be available during the warranty period.
- Marking and Labeling: Components must be labeled with part number, manufacturer's name/CAGE code, and lot/serial number.
- Contract Data Requirements: Commercial documentation will suffice unless military-unique Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) are explicitly identified.
