Scope of Work
Contractors will be required to manufacture Penetrator Assemblies in strict accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command Drawing 7066213 (Part Number 021, Assembly EHP 1), Drawing 5613012, Drawing 7491201, and all Electric Boat ERs. Key requirements include specific modifications to penetrator wiring per EB Specification 4707, and adherence to detailed material specifications for components like the Body, Nut, Header, and Washer (e.g., QQ-N-286, Inconel 625 per SAE-AMS-5666).
Key Requirements & Quality Assurance
This contract demands rigorous quality control, including extensive testing certifications (Dye Penetrant, Quality Conformance, Ultrasonic, Annealing/Age Hardening, Non-Destructive Tests). Specific laboratories are mandated for Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests. Thread inspection must follow FED-STD-H28 series, and welding/brazing must comply with specified Navy standards. A First Article Test (FAT) is required, with one complete Penetrator Assembly unit to be delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine, for Government testing. The material must be mercury-free. Submission Instructions

A copy of the company's Quality Assurance manual must be submitted with the proposal; failure to do so may result in removal from consideration. NECO quotes will not be accepted.
