Quick Summary

The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS), is soliciting proposals for Fiber Broadband to Grant Village and Lewis Lake within Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. This opportunity seeks a provider to install underground fiber optic connections and deliver broadband internet and dark fiber services. The procurement is for a negotiated firm-fixed contract with an estimated magnitude between $250,000 and $500,000. Proposals are due June 1, 2026.

Scope of Work

The selected provider will install several miles of underground single-mode fiber optic cable from a common demarcation point to specific NPS facilities in the Grant Village and Lewis Lake areas. Services include one year of internet access (up to 1 Gbps download for business, 100 Mbps+ for residential) and dark fiber services (Zero-Mile and Backhaul). The contractor is expected to build and own the fiber network, then sell services to the Park. Performance standards require 99.999% reliability, <45ms latency, and <0.3% packet loss. NPS is responsible for in-building distribution.
