This solicitation is for the procurement of a CEREC PRIMEMILL Dental Milling/Drilling Machine, CEREC SUCTION UNIT 120V, CEREC PRIMESCAN DI AC TP STEEL, and CEREC SW 5.3 PRIMARY software. The purpose is to enhance the Dental Service's capability to fabricate prostheses in-house for veterans, thereby reducing wait times and the need to send cases to the Central Dental Lab. The equipment is expected to seamlessly integrate with the existing CEREC system.

• Equipment: CEREC PRIMEMILL, CEREC SUCTION UNIT 120V, CEREC PRIMESCAN DI AC TP STEEL, CEREC SW 5.3 PRIMARY.

• Functionality: The system must be capable of digitally scanning intra-oral and extra-oral images, securely transmitting scanned images, milling definitive dental restorations, and printing provisional dental restorations on-site.

• Performance: Accurate scanning and storage of images meeting hospital infection control requirements; secure transmission of scans; digital design of fixed and removable appliances; on-site milling of all-porcelain crowns and small fixed bridges; printing of study models, working models, and custom impression trays.

This is a pre-solicitation notice for Solicitation 36C24626Q0513, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Asheville VA Medical Center. The VA has a requirement for Dental Milling Drilling Machines.

The Dental Milling Drilling Machine system must be capable of:

• Digitally scanning intra-oral and extra-oral images for store-and-forward and CAD/CAM purposes.
• Securely transmitting scanned images within the facility and to the Central Dental Laboratory.
• Milling definitive and printing provisional dental restorations on-site from digital scans.

Specific performance requirements include:

• Accurately scanning and storing images meeting hospital infection control requirements.

• Securely transmitting scans of crown preparations, small fixed bridge preparations, and edentulous dental ridges.

• Digitally designing fixed and removable appliances.
