Scope of Work
The awarded contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of all existing shelving units, and then providing and installing new antimicrobial shelving units. These units must conform to detailed specifications outlined in the Statement of Work. Key requirements include:
- Provision of twenty (20) Antimicrobial aluminum shelving units (24" W x 48" D x 73" H) and twenty-one (21) Stainless steel shelving units (48" W x 24" D x 63" H). Antimicrobial aluminum units are intended for specific temperature environments (cold vs. dry).
- Shelving features: louvered/embossed shelf design, donut bumpers, fall arresting bars (shelf lip), label holders (approx. 2.24" x 1.57"), adjustable shelf heights and feet, and two braking swivel casters per unit (total 4 casters per unit: 2 swivel, 2 with brakes).
- A minimum 10-year warranty against rust/corrosion.
- Removal of all packing materials from the VA facility.
