Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure a custom-built cargo box and lift gate for a Ford F550 truck chassis provided by the Sheridan VA Medical Center (VAHCS) to support laundry service pickup and delivery operations.

• Cargo Box Construction:

  • White painted, sheet and post construction (rectangular or square post).
  • Minimum 0.04” aluminum sheet panels riveted to galvanized posts.
  • 12” extruded aluminum radius, heavy-duty cast aluminum corner caps.
  • Roof minimum 0.40” aluminum, designed for heavy snow loading.
  • Overall dimensions: 96” wide, 12.5’ long.
  • Minimum inside dimensions: 85.5”H x 92”W.
  • Composite roll-up rear door (87.5”W x 68”H) with dual spring operation.
  • 12-gauge stainless steel rear frame with "L" gussets and bottom plate.
  • Understructure: 4” longbeam "I" beam, 3” cross sills on 12” centers.
  • Floor: 1-1/8” laminated hardboard, undercoated.
  • Interior lining: Full height A-C grade 1/2” plywood front, 3/8” plywood sides.
