Quick Summary
The Department of the Interior (DOI) is hosting an Industry Day on March 27, 2026, to conduct market research for a future multi-agency uniform acquisition. This event focuses on requirements for U.S.-manufactured uniforms and domestically sourced materials, consistent with federal Made in America policies. Vendors capable of providing these items are encouraged to participate. RSVP is required by March 23, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
This Special Notice announces an Industry Day to gather industry input for a future acquisition of civilian and law enforcement uniforms, patches, insignia, headwear, footwear, outerwear, and a full-service web-based ordering system. The acquisition will support an estimated 35,000 employees across seven DOI Bureaus (NPS, USPP, FWS, BLM, BOR, BSEE, BIA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The DOI is exploring requirements that prioritize or mandate U.S.-manufactured uniforms and domestically sourced materials.
Industry Day Details
The Industry Day will be held on March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM EDT at the Main Interior Building (1849 C Street NW, Washington, DC 20240). On-site participants must present a valid government-issued photo ID and are subject to security screenings. Virtual attendees will receive a Teams meeting invitation.
Anticipated Contract Structure (Draft PWS)
A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) indicates an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Firm Fixed Price orders, featuring a five-year ordering period. The scope emphasizes modern fabrics, true sizing, updated patterns, maximizing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products, and a secure, user-friendly, Section 508 compliant Web-based Ordering System (WBOS). Performance standards include high rates for on-time delivery, order accuracy, WBOS functionality, and reporting. A minimum contract value of $10,000 is guaranteed.
