This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item issued by the AFRL/RIZ, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. It constitutes the only solicitation being issued for the requirement. The acquisition is being conducted under Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 – Acquisition of Commercial Products and Services.

• The vendor shall provide one (1) Epilog Fusion Ascent 36 CO2 Laser or equal, in accordance with the Minimum Requirements Document dated 20 May 2026.

• Delivery is FOB Destination to WPAFB, OH 45433, as soon as possible.

• Offerors shall include all warranty requirements and documentation with their quote.

• Offerors shall identify how long their quote is valid.

• This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

• The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quote is most advantageous to the Government, considering price and technical acceptability.

• Evaluation will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA).

• Factors: (1) Price, (2) Technical Acceptability.

• To be technically acceptable, the quote must meet all specification requirements in the Minimum Requirements Document dated 20 May 2026.

• Quotes are due by 15 June 2026 @ 5:00 PM ET and must be submitted by email.

• This acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business set-aside.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This document outlines the minimum requirements for a laser system to replace a failed legacy system. The new laser is intended to support the RQQ laboratory's power and thermal research mission by enabling rapid fabrication of custom components from dense materials and for general laboratory operations, including engraving tools and sensitive test equipment.

• One (1) Epilog Fusion Ascent 36 CNC CO2 Laser or equivalent.

• Minimum of 80W power output.

• Minimum of 24"x36" cut area.

• Capable of being de-rated to Class I or Class II laser through interlocks.

• Capable of fully offline, air-gapped operation without internet connectivity.

• Support services must be available (response time to be determined).

• Must be from/sourced from a fully American-owned and operated company to ensure a secure domestic supply chain and eliminate the risk of foreign part obsolescence.

• Must integrate with reputable industry-standard drawing programs (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, LightBurn, or CorelDRAW).

• This is a one-time replacement requirement.

• Must be sourced from a fully American-owned and operated company.

• The previous system failed due to supply chain obsolescence. An existing 40W system was found to be technically insufficient due to inadequate power.
