Scope of Work
Air University requires an SMS to support Professional Military Education, Professional Continuing Education, and Professional Developmental Education. Key functionalities include:
- Admissions: Managing applications, bulk imports, credit transfers, student profiles, and admission notifications.
- Enrollment: Supporting rules-based course selection, bulk enrollment, waitlist management, and automated notifications.
- Graduation & Program Completion: Handling graduation applications, program completion verification, and academic evaluations.
- Transcript Management: Updating from Learning Management Systems (LMS), registrar updates, certification, and unofficial transcript provision.
- Program Advising: Facilitating automated requests, instructor referrals, advisor assignment, and outcome documentation.
- Academic Course Catalog & Scheduling: Managing course databases, curriculum changes, approval chains, resource identification, and conflict resolution.
- Transfer & Test Credit Evaluation: Processing external transcripts and test results.
- Student Bursar: Managing financial obligations, invoices, and account updates.
- Reporting & User Management: Supporting automated and custom reports, multi-factor authentication (including CAC), single sign-on (SAML), and role-based access control.
- System Compliance: Adhering to RMF or NIST accreditation for Information Level 4 (IL4) DoD Government Community Cloud. The system will handle PII - CUI data.
