Purpose & Scope of Work

This opportunity covers extended hardware and software maintenance for Protogate AMDOTS RMU equipment. The RMU system is critical for monitoring Missile Warning, Air Mission, and Space Sensor messages, enabling stand-alone post-test analysis.

Hardware Maintenance: Repair or replacement of Protogate AMDOTS RMU equipment within 30 days of shipping. Equipment will be delivered to the contractor via Protogate FedEx account. For items on foreign soil, the NC3 Enterprise Center handles transport to/from CONUS.

Software Maintenance: Correcting deficiencies, updating software, providing updated documentation, and performing vulnerability patching at least quarterly or as soon as critical deficiencies arise.

Type: Firm-Fixed Price contract
Duration: One (1) base period (April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027) and two (2) option periods (April 1, 2027 - March 31, 2028; April 1, 2028 - March 31, 2029).

Justification for Sole Source

Market research, including a Sources Sought notice, confirmed that Protogate Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing this support due to their proprietary control over the AMDOTS RMU software and technical data. Awarding to any other source would result in substantial duplication of costs for the Government. Protogate has been the sole manufacturer and provider for decades. The Government does not intend to replace the current system within the next three years, but future upgrades will involve market research for non-proprietary alternatives.
