Scope of Work

• On-site installation of two pass-through instrument drying cabinet units.
• Training for clinical staff prior to equipment use, covering all tours of duty for the sterile processing department.
• Removal and disposal of all installation debris and packing material.
• Full-service maintenance through a service agreement for a minimum of two years post-installation, including emergency response within 4 hours and temporary solutions within 24 hours for equipment failures.

Specifications & Requirements

• Dimensions: Each cabinet max 78" H x 38" W x 31" D; total space occupancy 80" H x 76" W x 32" D.
• Functionality: Must maintain full separation between decontamination and high-level disinfection environments (AAMI ST91-21), support drying of canulated instrumentation and DaVinci robotic arms' internal channels.
• Air Quality: Built-in HEPA filtrated air with HEPA air purge connectors for lumens.
• Device Compatibility: Ability to dry heat-sensitive devices.
• Environmental Control: Maintain temperature 63°F - 77°F (17°C - 25°C) and humidity 30%-60% RH.
• Utilities: 120Vac, 60Hz, 20 Amp, 53dBa.
• Weight: Maximum 750 lb (340kg) per cabinet.
• Personnel: Only fully qualified technicians/engineers to perform work.
• Safety: All work must comply with local, State, Federal rules, OSHA, NFPA, and VA Design Guide Manuals.

Submission & Evaluation

• Submission Requirements: Offerors must be authorized distributors and submit a letter from the OEM. Quotes must be submitted on SF 1449 or letterhead stationery, including a technical description, warranty terms, price, and discount terms. Representations and certifications must be completed.
• Evaluation Criteria: Technical Capability, Past Performance, and Price. Technical Capability and Past Performance are considered more important than Price.

Important Notes

• Contractors are responsible for conducting site visits to verify existing conditions and requirements before preparing proposals.
• Performance will be monitored by the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Infection Control Risk Assessment Office, and Safety Office.
• Work hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or as directed by the COR.
• Taking photographs/videos/recording is prohibited on VA premises unless authorized.
