Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for Annual AFNET License Support. This RFI seeks to identify contractors capable of providing software license renewals, software product support, and hardware product support for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products integrated into the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). Responses are due June 2, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
This RFI is for market research and planning purposes, as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). The DAF has a recurring annual requirement to renew licenses and support for numerous COTS products that comprise the AFIN, a system of systems. The government is specifically seeking to understand:
- If contractors can provide services similar to those listed for various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- If only approved resellers can develop, compile, integrate, and deploy vulnerability patches requiring proprietary source code/knowledge.
- Opportunities to improve network capabilities via third-party service providers for listed OEMs.
The "Impact Statement FY27.xlsx" document details a wide array of OEMs and their products/services currently in use, including A2B, ATHOC (Blackberry), CA Technologies, Cisco, CommVault, Cyberark, Dell, HPE, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Palo Alto, ServiceNow, Splunk, VMware, and many others, covering areas like network monitoring, data protection, security, servers, storage, and communication.
