Statement of Work (SOW)

This SOW defines the project-specific scope and technical requirements for the delivery and installation of a steel substructure to reinforce the mechanical mezzanine at Building 254.

• The project involves adding three (3) C-channel steel beams to support an existing equipment housekeeping slab, which was found to exceed the mezzanine slab's design capacity.

• The new beams will be installed under the slab and welded to existing 24WF94 and 10WF25 members.

• The contractor is responsible for fabricating structural members and connections, ensuring proper fit and finish.

• All work must conform to AWS D1.1:2025 standards.

• Welded areas must be prepped, and surfaces coated to match existing conditions post-installation.

• Normal project work hours are Monday through Friday, 0600-1530.

• Work outside normal hours or on Federal holidays requires written approval from the COR at least 72 hours in advance.

• No work is permitted on Federal holidays or Drill weekends.

• The contractor must obtain a hot work permit from the Pease Fire Department within 10 days of contract award.

• The contractor must submit all necessary documentation for base access and badging within 10 days of contract award.

• The Government will provide access to available utilities; any specific utilities not present are the contractor's responsibility.

• Badging and Base Access Documentation: Due no later than 10 days after contract award.

• Hot work permit documentation: Due no later than 10 days after contract award.
