Quick Summary
Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (LLNS), a DOE Contractor, is conducting a Sources Sought to identify qualified firms for the design-build of the B695 Tank Farm Revitalization project at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in Livermore, CA. This project aims to upgrade the wastewater treatment system to improve operational efficiency, enhance safety, and ensure regulatory compliance. Responses are due June 16, 2026.
Scope of Work
The project encompasses the design, demolition, and installation of critical components for nine 5,000-gallon waste treatment tanks. Key elements include:
- Reagent Dosing System: A centralized system for dosing five different reagents from 55-gallon drums into the nine treatment tanks, integrated with the existing PLC system.
- Tank Mixers: Removal and replacement of existing mixer assemblies, including blades, shaft, gearbox, and motor, capable of thoroughly mixing a 5,000-gallon tank in 10 minutes.
- Coarse Bubble Diffusers: Design and installation of diffusers within each of the nine tanks, capable of aerating liquid with 60 scfm per tank.
- Optional Instrumentation: Removal and installation of new pH/ORP, conductivity, oxygen, TSS, and liquid level sensors on each tank to aid in treatment and handling of stored waste.
