Scope of Work

- Demolition and Disposal: Removal and disposal of existing bathtubs and tiles.
- Plumbing Installations: Delivery, updating, and relocating fittings; installation and assembly of shower cabins, specifically installing shower trays with the minimum possible rim height for accessibility.
- Tiling and Drywall Work: Removal and disposal of tiles, surface preparation (plastering, moisture insulation, wall leveling, screed leveling), construction of drywall, and tiling of floors and walls. All work must comply with detailed Specifications/Statement of Work (SOW) and relevant Austrian Standards (OENORMEN) and US codes.
Contract Details
This is a fixed-price construction contract. The estimated price range is USD 25,000 to USD 100,000. The contractor must begin performance within 10 calendar days of receiving the award and complete the work within 30 calendar days. Planned work periods are July 6 - August 3, 2026 (Weimarerstrasse) and Mid-July - Mid-August 2026 (Chimanistrasse). Liquidated damages for delay are set at EURO 150.00 per calendar day. A three-year warranty is required, with defect correction within 14 days. A 20% bond of the contractual total is required for orders of US$30,000 or above.
Submission & Evaluation
Quotations must be submitted electronically to acquisitionsembvienna@state.gov by June 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Submissions must be in English and include:
- Standard Form 1442.
- Attachment 2 (Breakdown of Price by Divisions of Specifications).
- Performance schedule in bar chart format.
- Business Management/Technical Proposal (including proposed work information and past performance).
- Proof of SAM Registration. Accepted file formats are MS-Word, MS-Excel, or Adobe Acrobat (PDF), with a 30MB per file limit. Evaluation will be based on the lowest priced, acceptable, responsible quoter, assessing compliance with RFQ terms and contractor responsibility per FAR 9.1.
Eligibility & Site Visit
Offerors must be technically qualified and financially responsible, understand English, have an established business in Austria (or plans to establish one within 30 days of award), and be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database prior to proposal submission.
