Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To safely remediate existing mold contamination and associated building materials within Housing Unit #202B at Big Hole National Battlefield, Wisdom, Montana. The project aims to protect occupant health, preserve government housing assets, and reduce the likelihood of future mold growth by addressing moisture intrusion and ventilation deficiencies.

• Pre-Remediation: Conduct site visit, review existing reports, develop site-specific Mold Remediation Work Plan and Health and Safety Plan (HASP), and establish containment areas.

• Mold Remediation: Remove and dispose of contaminated porous materials, clean and treat non-porous surfaces with HEPA vacuums and antimicrobial agents, operate negative air machines, maintain moisture control, and replace removed materials to match existing construction (including drywall, tape, texture, priming, and painting).

• Protection and Controls: Isolate work areas, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and protect adjacent finishes, equipment, and occupants.

• Waste Handling: Bag, label, and dispose of contaminated materials according to regulations, and maintain clean egress pathways.

• Post-Remediation: Perform detailed cleaning, conduct visual inspections, support clearance testing (if required), and remove containment.

• Work must comply with federal, state, and industry standards, including EPA Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings, IICRC S520, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926.

• Acceptance criteria include completion of all tasks, no visible mold or debris remaining, and submission of all required deliverables.

• The work must be completed within 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
