Statement of Work (SOW)

To repair vent walls, structures, motors, and mounts of USDA Building #30, located at 133 Tobacco Rd., Tifton, Ga 31793, which were damaged by a wind storm. The Asset ID for this project is 660200B0030.

• Base Bid: Provide all necessary equipment, labor, and materials for a turnkey repair. This includes:

  • Repairing or replacing vent wall panels to ensure integrity and operation.
  • Repairing or replacing vent wall motors, drive assembly, mounting brackets, and mounting posts to ensure vent wall operation.
  • Providing new mounting hardware.
  • Verifying proper operation of vent walls with existing Wadsworth Controllers.

• Demolition: Remove all demolished materials and debris from the worksite and dispose of them offsite. Recyclable materials must be recycled, with savings passed to the government. Disposal records are required where applicable.

• Work must be accomplished in accordance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.

• The contractor must ensure the work does not adversely affect daily operations of the facility.

• A government representative will inspect and approve the work. The contractor must schedule inspection a minimum of 10 days in advance, in writing, to the Contracting Officer.

• The project completion shall not exceed 30 days from the Notice to Proceed.

• Work hours shall coincide with the Tifton location's working hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), unless otherwise arranged with the CO/COR.

• Safety: Submit a Site Safety Specific Plan/Accident Prevention Plan within 7 days of contract award. All employees must have 10-hour OSHA certified Construction Safety training; supervisors must have 30-hour OSHA training.

• Personnel: All work must be performed by certified technicians.

• Site Management: Contractor must verify dimensions and site conditions, keep the work area clean, manage the project to minimize impact on government operations, provide their own restroom and dumpster, and confine operations to authorized areas.

• Security: Employees must comply with ARS security management program, obtain necessary permissions, wear identification badges, and be restricted from unauthorized access.

• Liability: The Contractor shall hold the Government harmless from liability.

• Submittals: Submit materials, shop drawings, and specifications to the CO/COR. Electronic submittals are acceptable; otherwise, three written submittals are required.

• Damage to Property: Any damage to government property must be repaired or replaced to the satisfaction of the Government.
