Scope of Work

The selected A/E firm will provide comprehensive design services to connect the VA Medical Center's force main sewer to the Ontario County sewer system. Key tasks include:

  • Designing a new lift station at the Baseball Field on County Road 4.
  • Connecting the VA gravity main to the new lift station, bypassing the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
  • Connecting the new lift station to the County sewer.
  • Decommissioning the existing WWTP and its outfall in accordance with DEC codes.
  • Providing electrical requirements for the new lift station and backup generator.
  • Developing a phasing plan to ensure the WWTP remains operational until the new lift station is connected.
  • Conducting asbestos and lead surveys.
  • Providing construction period services, including bidding assistance, RFI responses, and site inspections. Designs must comply with VA Space Planning Specifications, VA Master specifications, and other relevant codes, utilizing the VISN 2 Autodesk Build Construction Management Platform (ACC).
