This is a notice seeking Architect-Engineering (A/E) firms to submit Standard Form (SF) 330 qualification packages for a project to renovate approximately 21,000 GSF of existing shell space on the first floor of a 2-story building at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System in Sunnyvale, California. The renovation is intended for dry lab research and includes associated site improvements and surface parking.

• Design Phase Services (Part One): Preparation of schematics, design development, and construction documents.

• Construction Period Services (Part Two): Responding to RFIs, attending construction meetings, reviewing submittals, site visits during construction, preparing site visit reports, coordinating commissioning, reviewing modifications, attending final acceptance inspection, preparing punch lists, and creating record drawings.

• Specific Design Elements: Dry lab research space, conceptual floor plans, complete utility infrastructure, surface parking improvements, site improvements for storm drainage, site security, fencing replacement, removal of vehicle entrance gate, security surveillance, intrusion detection, underground utilities investigation, roof access stairway design, and completion of unfinished Room A-104.

• Technical Requirements: Designs must comply with VA Program Guide PG-18-15, Volume C, and other VA TIL documents. Designs must be independent of future construction projects and not include furniture/equipment procured separately. BIM/CAD standards (Revit 2019 or later) are required.

• Estimated Construction Cost: $25,000,000

• Performance Period: 233 Calendar Days for Design Phase (Part One Services).
