Purpose & Scope
The US Army requires accelerated modernization of weapon systems through AdvM technologies to improve readiness and address supply chain issues. This project focuses on transitioning AdvM technology to the OIB. The scope includes providing engineering and technical services across the full lifecycle of AdvM implementation, from candidate assessments and concept development to design maturation, material and process selection, analysis, prototyping, and supporting all testing, qualification, and certification requirements.
Key Requirements / Deliverables
- Candidate Identification & Assessment: Jointly select and prioritize AdvM candidates, conduct suitability and technical viability assessments.
- Design, Trial Builds, and Quality Plans: Develop design concepts, create detailed test plans, and produce prototypes.
- Manufacture & Test: Facilitate and support testing, produce AdvM parts at minimum MRL Level 7, and conduct validation and fatigue/fracture testing.
- Technical Data Package (TDP) Development: Deliver comprehensive TDPs for each part, including design analysis, simulations, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings.
- Qualification and Certification Support: Prepare qualification packages and support airworthiness assessment.
- OIB Technology Insertion: Establish organic, operationally qualified manufacturing capability for AdvM parts.
