Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To develop, deploy, and maintain a comprehensive CRDC Data Discovery Portal that integrates AI and large language model functionality with a traditional faceted search user interface. The goal is to simplify data access, enhance visualization, promote collaboration, and democratize cancer research data understanding to foster new discoveries.

• Develop a Data Discovery Portal using Jataware's BeakerHub Platform.

• Leverage CRDC ecosystem data resources, including the CDA search database and API.

• The initial phase (MVP) will focus on exploring and analyzing data from CRDC data commons, with CDA as the primary source of metadata. Accessing controlled-access data is out of scope for the MVP.

• Future work includes developing a faceted search portal and transitioning the BeakerHub platform to an NCI-hosted environment.

• The portal will provide lightweight analytics and data visualizations for open data, with access to the NCI Cloud Resource for more intensive analytics or controlled data.
