Purpose & Scope
This Sources Sought notice is for market research and planning purposes only, to determine the appropriate acquisition method, including the possibility of a small business set-aside. The requirement is for professional services to modify existing carpeting to accommodate relocated floor power distribution boxes and grommets. Key tasks include:
- Precisely cutting and removing existing carpet sections.
- Patching or seaming carpet to ensure a professional finish.
- Securing carpet edges and seams.
- Matching existing carpet texture, color, and pile direction (Patcraft, Metallic Alchemy, Antique Titanium).
- Removing and disposing of all related debris.
- Reworking existing or installing new carpet tiles over raised access floor systems.
- Coordinating with the designated IT/AV contracting team.
- Prioritizing reuse of approximately 200 sq yards (500 tiles) of existing removed carpet tiles available on-site.
- Furnishing approximately 100 matching carpet tiles for future repairs upon project completion.

Response Requirements
Interested small businesses are requested to provide:
- Firm name, point of contact, phone, email, DUNS, CAGE, small business status (including specific types/certifications), and corresponding NAICS code. Indicate GSA Schedule contract number if applicable.
- Confirmation of interest in competing as a prime contractor, and identification of any subcontracting, joint ventures, or teaming arrangements.
- Percentage of work to be performed by the small business prime and any similarly situated subcontractors.
- Type(s)/certifications(s) of proposed subcontractors.
- Detailed information on previous experience (prime or sub) on similar requirements (size, scope, complexity, timeframe, government/commercial), and pertinent certifications.
- Recommendations on structuring contract requirements to facilitate small business competition and improve specifications.
- Identification of any conditions restricting competition, with rationale, to the MICC Advocate for Competition.
