Purpose & Scope of Work
The objective is to secure storage services for mission-essential United States Air Force property, preventing loss and environmental degradation of sensitive, high-value equipment to support operational readiness. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all personnel, supervision, facilities, and management necessary to securely store, safeguard, and provide access to Government-owned assets. This includes providing storage unit(s) that meet specific requirements for space, climate control, structural integrity, and condition.
Key Requirements
- Climate Control: Facilities must maintain a temperature between 55°F and 75°F and relative humidity not exceeding 50%, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Security: Requirements include a perimeter fence, electronic access gate, and 24/7 video surveillance of access gates and storage units. Government-provided locks will be used on individual units.
- Access: The facility must offer 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week access via a Government-controlled electronic gate code and physical keys/locks.
- Space: A minimum of 500 square feet of clean, dry, and secure storage space is required, configurable as two 10'x25' or five 10'x10' units.
- Reporting: Contractors must report suspected security breaches, theft, loss, or damage to the COR within two hours of discovery, with a formal written report within 24 hours. System outages must be reported within one hour.
- Support: A contractor point of contact must be available during standard business hours (Mon-Fri, 0800-1700 local time) for facility or access issues.
- Safety & Insurance: Compliance with all applicable safety and fire codes is mandatory, along with evidence of commercial insurance covering stored items.
