  • Removal of approximately 3,500,000 cubic yards (CY) of fine-grained silt and organic material, 850,000 CY of medium-to-fine grained sand, and 60,000 CY of rock.
  • Rock removal to a minimum elevation of -42 Feet MLLW with a 2-foot allowable overdepth, and other areas to -40 Feet MLLW with a 2-foot allowable overdepth.
  • Dredged material will be placed into scows for transport and disposal at specified sites, including Central Long Island Sound Disposal Site (CLDS) and up to four other sites for beneficial use.
  • A minimum production rate of 300,000 CY per 30 consecutive calendar days is expected.
