Quick Summary
The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service, has issued Amendment 1 to Solicitation 47PD52226R0044 for the Corpus Christi Fire Alarm Replacement Project. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity involves the complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system at the Corpus Christi Courthouse in Corpus Christi, TX, with a new networked nodal, "intelligent", fire emergency voice evacuation and communication system. Proposals are due no later than 4:00 PM CT on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Scope of Work
The project requires the contractor to provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and supervision for the replacement. This includes installing a new networked nodal fire emergency voice/alarm communication system, control equipment, remote network node panels, interfacing, power supplies, signal initiating and notification devices, conduit, wire, and fittings. The new system must interface with fire sprinkler systems, elevators, HVAC equipment, smoke control equipment, and secure doors. Specific tasks include providing and installing delayed egress door hardware, interfacing with the atrium smoke control system via beam detectors, installing duct detectors on air handlers, reconnecting detectors to the BAS system, and providing a Fire Fighter's Smoke Control Panel. The contractor will also be responsible for removing the old fire alarm system and raceway/conduit after acceptance of the new system, and patching/painting all damaged finishes. Work is anticipated to be 10% during normal business hours and 90% after.
