Scope of Work

The selected vendor will perform RNA sequencing on 300 cotton fiber tissue samples. This includes RNA quality assessment (via bioanalyzer), Poly-A enrichment for mRNA isolation, library preparation, library quality assessment, and Next Generation Sequencing using Illumina NovaSeq X 10B (or similar) with a read length of 2 x 150 (Paired End). A minimum of 20 million paired-end reads pass filter per sample is guaranteed, and all samples must be processed in a single batch for consistency. The vendor must possess specialized experience in all aspects of RNA sequencing.

Deliverables

Deliverables include raw sequence reads in fasta or fastq format for each of the 300 samples. These will be provided on a hard disk and shipped to the USDA ARS facility at 1100 Allen Toussaint Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.

Only the lowest priced offer will be evaluated for Technical Acceptability and Past Performance. Bidders must review all Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Agriculture Acquisition Regulation (AGAR) clauses, including AGAR Clause 452.203-71 regarding anti-discrimination and DEI compliance.
