Expression of Interest (EOI)

This Expression of Interest (EOI) is issued by Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management & Operating Contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Idaho National Laboratory (INL). BEA is seeking to identify qualified vendors capable of providing crane upgrade services for Building 679. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of material handling capabilities at INL facilities.

Building 679 requires upgrades to its existing crane systems to improve reliability, safety, and operational performance. The potential scope of work includes:

• Replacement of two 40-ton crane hoists and controls.
• Assessment of current crane systems and components.
• Removal and replacement of outdated parts and equipment.
• Installation of upgraded crane systems and controls.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable safety, operational, and load-handling standards.
• Testing and commissioning for functionality and certification.

Note: Construction work at the INL Site is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act and the INL Site Stabilization Agreement. Construction work at Idaho Falls facilities is not subject to these agreements.

This EOI is the initial step to identify interested and qualified vendors. Responses will help inform the development of a formal solicitation list. Selected vendors may be invited to participate in a future Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
