Quick Summary

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued a Special Notice indicating its intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with D-Fend Solutions for the acquisition of D-FEND EnforceAir 2.0 Systems and Covert kits. While the intent is sole source due to the proprietary nature of the systems, vendors who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit capability statements. Capability statements are due by May 26, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Scope of Work

This acquisition involves proprietary hardware and software, specifically the D-FEND EnforceAir 2.0 Systems and Covert kit. These systems include hardware and software warranties, which shift the burden of repairs to D-FEND. The new systems are intended to integrate and work seamlessly with existing D-FEND systems already owned by the DEA. D-Fend does not authorize third-party providers for these systems.
