Quick Summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a two-phase design-build solicitation for the Design and Construction of Levee Access Manholes at the Fairfax-Jersey Creek Levee Unit in Kansas City, Kansas. This will result in a firm-fixed-price construction contract. The solicitation is expected within 15 to 60 days of this presolicitation notice.

Scope of Work

This project involves the design and construction of access manholes on the landside levee slope and berm of the Fairfax-Jersey Creek Levee Unit. These manholes are crucial for regular inspection of the existing seepage collection system, with an estimated maximum hole depth of 25 feet. Contractors must conduct their own investigations and surveys. All drilling and excavations must comply with USACE Engineering Regulation (ER) 1110-1-1807, and minimally invasive excavation methods are required, prohibiting invasive mass excavation.
