Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the VISN 15 Network Contracting Office, has issued a Sources Sought notice (RFI) to identify qualified sources for two Diesel 5k forklifts for the Saint Louis VA Medical Center (STLVAHCS). This market research aims to gather information on potential vendors, their capabilities, and size classifications under NAICS 333924 (Industrial Truck Machinery Manufacturing). Responses will help the VA determine potential set-aside opportunities, particularly for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). Responses are due by June 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for two (2) brand-new, sitdown Diesel 5k forklifts with a 5,000 lbs capacity and a minimum 15-foot triple stage mast. These forklifts must have solid tires for outdoor use, an enclosed cab with heat/AC, and include side shift and tine hydraulic positioner attachments. Safety features such as an overhead guard, backup alarm, strobe light, and fire extinguisher are mandatory, with compliance to OSHA and ANSI standards. The vendor must also provide a minimum one-year parts and labor warranty, options for at least three years of post-purchase maintenance support, and on-site operator training. Delivery is to 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, Building 57 Warehouse, Saint Louis, VA 63125.
Submission Requirements
Interested parties should submit their company name, address, point of contact, and business size status (e.g., SDVOSB, VOSB, Hubzone, WOSB, Large Business), confirming small business status under NAICS 333924. Submissions must indicate if the respondent is a manufacturer, distributor, or offers an equivalent solution, detailing any alterations or modifications if a distributor.
