Diesel Generator Upgrade and Installation for Hemp Shelter

Statement of Work (SOW)

To replace the existing power generation system for the Hemp Shelter at MacDill Air Force Base with a new, more reliable 60kW diesel generator system.

• Remove two existing 30kW Capstone microturbines and associated automatic transfer switch.

• Remove existing diesel fuel tank and internal day tank.

• Install one new 60kW Caterpillar Diesel Generator (Model D60 GC) with a weatherproof, sound-attenuated enclosure and a 408-gallon fuel tank.

• Install one new 200-amp, 480-volt, three-phase automatic transfer switch in a NEMA 3R enclosure.

• Install new diesel fuel tank and day tank with necessary piping and connections.

• Provide all required engineering drawings.

• Secure all necessary electrical and fuel permits and manage inspections.

• Perform a pre-start inspection and system startup.

• Conduct a 4-hour on-site resistive load test.

• Provide a 2-year/1000-hour Caterpillar Extended Service Coverage and a 2-year Asco warranty.

• The system must be complete, operational, and acceptable upon successful installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Preventive maintenance is required every 6 months for fluid and filter changes, and annually for major inspections including load bank testing.

• Work will be performed at the Hemp Shelter (Bldg. 578), MacDill 6th Communication Squadron, USCENTCOM, 7121 S Boundary Blvd, Tampa, FL 33621.

• Maintenance will be coordinated and conducted Monday-Friday between 0800-1600, excluding federal holidays and family wing days. Emergency maintenance is required 24/7 on an as-needed basis.

• The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment.

• The contractor is responsible for engineering, drawings, permits, and inspections.
