Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive solid waste removal services, including:
- Container Services: Furnish and maintain approximately three to five 40 cubic yard (CY) uncovered roll-off containers for industrial waste, textiles, and tires. Containers must be in good condition and free of residue.
- Waste Removal: Remove full roll-off containers within two business days of request. Containers at Building 1656 require weighing using a USG scale.
- Disposal: Dispose of all solid waste in compliance with local, State, and Federal laws. Use of Oahu's H-POWER plant is encouraged for general waste, and recycling opportunities should be utilized for scrap tires.
- Special Waste Handling: Military textiles (uniforms, clothing, etc.) with specific DEMIL codes require direct incineration at a licensed facility, witnessed by two DLA employees, with Document 1367 certification. Scrap tires include vehicular, aircraft, and forklift tires, and rubberized material.
- Excluded Waste: Hazardous waste, regulated medical waste, liquids, batteries, asbestos, electronic waste, chemicals, and fuel-contaminated materials are generally excluded unless specifically identified or ordered.
