• Qualifications: Minimum two years of experience leading music in a congregational worship setting, piano proficiency with sight-reading ability, familiarity with Catholic Mass (for Catholic position), and experience with various Protestant denominations (for Protestant position).

• General Responsibilities: Submit to background checks, coordinate with Chaplain, maintain good rapport, dress professionally, and communicate in fluent English.

• Specific Responsibilities: Direct and lead congregational singing, provide musical accompaniment, possess knowledge of Catholic and Protestant worship services, recruit/rehearse/provide musicians, recruit/train/supervise volunteers, train staff on music equipment, coordinate setup/teardown of equipment, plan music with Chaplain, and inspect chapel instruments.

• Performance Ratings: Evaluated on Service & Rehearsal Fulfillment, Punctuality & Preparation, Quality of Musical Performance, Attend Authorized Meetings & Conduct Trainings, Volunteer & Staff Management, Administrative Compliance, Equipment & Facility Management, and Professionalism & Conduct.

• Services are for Dover Air Force Base Chapel.

• Work hours are specified weekly and annually, with options for additional units.

• Background Checks: Criminal History Background Check and Installation Records Check (IRC) required for personnel working with youth under 18 without line-of-sight supervision.
