Scope of Work
The project involves constructing a two-bay aircraft hangar with a concrete foundation, steel high bay, standing seam metal roof, cranes, and motorized hangar doors. It will include fire alarm/suppression systems, water storage tanks, and all necessary support. The facility will house an aircraft maintenance unit with administrative areas, tool room, supply/bench stock, storage, shop areas, emergency showers, locker rooms, and a break area. A fleet service terminal will also be included.
Additional work comprises overhead covered storage for a mobility barn and maintenance squadron, and airfield pavements for hangar access, including clearing, excavation, base material, concrete pavement, asphalt shoulders, markings, storm water retention, and lighting. A 500kW generator will support maintenance operations. The project also requires the demolition of Building 4809 (4,523 sqm) and Building 4826 (209 sqm). All facilities must be permanent construction, compatible with DoD, Air Force, and base design standards, and comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements (UFC 4-010-01).
