• Site Visit: No additional organized site visits will be provided. The scheduled site visit has already occurred. Contractors may visit the site independently, with potential limitations on access to the freight elevator for viewing the top cover at the Castillo San Felipe del Morro esplanade.

• Previous Contractor: The previous contract for these services was issued under Purchase Order No. 140P5420P0077.

• The response due date has been extended to Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 1700 eastern (5:00 PM).

• All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.

Amendment / Modification

This amendment (0001) to solicitation 140P5426Q0006 modifies the original solicitation. The effective date of this amendment is March 12, 2026.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide preventive, corrective, and emergency elevator maintenance services for two elevators at the San Juan National Historic Site (SAJU) to ensure safe, reliable, code-compliant, and operational use.

• Maintenance of the Castillo San Cristóbal Visitor Center Elevator (Schindler, 2,500 lbs capacity, two stops) and the Castillo San Felipe del Morro – American Cistern Elevator (manufacturer and capacity to be confirmed by contractor).

• Services include preventive maintenance (monthly), corrective maintenance (non-routine), and emergency elevator service (24/7).

• Contractor must identify all labor, materials, equipment, testing, and processes required.

• Maintenance must adhere to manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes, and NPS historic preservation standards.

• Minimize downtime, visitor disruption, and impact on historic resources.

• Monthly preventive maintenance.

• Compliance with manufacturer recommendations and applicable codes.

• Corrective maintenance performed only when authorized and within NTE limits.

• Emergency response: Acknowledge call within 60 minutes, on-site technician within 2 hours.
