• Surveillance Methods: Describes how performance will be monitored, including spot checks, periodic inspections, direct observation, customer complaint tracking, and review of reports.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This solicitation is for elevator maintenance services for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. The services include semi-annual, annual, and 4-year inspection services.

• Semi-annual, annual, and 4-year inspections of vertical transportation systems.

• Inspection of all elevators listed in attachment A.

• Provide a writing analysis of each elevator's life cycle, life expectancy, and recommendations for replacement or upgrades.

• Unscheduled maintenance for repairs outside the scope of routine preventive maintenance.

• Contractor and personnel must be ASME/NAESA qualified elevator inspectors with at least five years of experience.

• Adherence to ASME A17.1 and A17.2, NFPA 25, NFPA 70, NFPA 99, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.

• Provide reports to the COR and Compliance Office for each inspected elevator, including deficiencies and recommendations.

• Provide a certificate for every elevator and device inspection.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price.

• Period of Performance: Base Year (August 1, 2026 - July 31, 2027) plus four option years.
