This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and services for Radiological Decommissioning of 20 rooms (approximately 6,300 sq ft) in Buildings 17, 18, 70, and 79 at the VA Bedford Health Care System. The procurement is a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order.

• Perform a Radiological Final Status Survey in accordance with MARSSIM.

• Review historical site assessment and existing conditions.

• Analyze room/area data, including installed equipment, furniture, and suspect hazardous/radiological materials.

• Remove radioactive waste from Building 79.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide a complete Radiological Final Status Survey for approximately 6,300 square feet across Buildings 17, 18, 70, and 79 at the VA Bedford Health Care System (VABHCS) to support future demolition or redevelopment efforts.

• Review Historical Site Assessment.

• Analyze room/area physical data, including dimensions, existing equipment, furniture, and documentation of suspect radiological and hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, mercury).

• Provide raw lab results.

• Remove radioactive waste from Building 79.

• Develop and execute a Final Status Survey Plan in accordance with MARSSIM requirements, including systematic and biased radiological survey data collection in potential residual radioactive material locations (drains, floors, walls, cabinets, fume hoods, benches, sinks, storage areas).

• Survey and analyze equipment such as microfuges and liquid scintillation counters.

• Provide all necessary instrumentation for surveys and measurements, calibrated to NIST traceable sources.
