Wage Determination

  • Health & Welfare: $5.55 per hour (or $222.00 per week / $962.00 per month).
  • Health & Welfare (EO 13706): $5.09 per hour (or $203.60 per week / $882.27 per month).
• Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service, 3 weeks after 5 years, and 4 weeks after 15 years.
• Holidays: A minimum of eleven paid holidays per year are required.
• Hazardous Pay: An 8% differential applies to positions with high hazard risk (ordnance, explosives), and a 4% differential applies to positions with low hazard risk.
• Uniform Allowance: Contractors must furnish uniforms or reimburse employees for their cost, including maintenance ($3.35 per week or $.67 per day), unless uniforms are "wash and wear" and do not require special cleaning.

This solicitation is for Hazardous Waste Collection Services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS). The contract will involve recycling and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, asbestos, biological, lab packs, radiological, DEA controlled substance, and universal wastes. Services include on-site inspections and waste pick-up, training for VA employees, and emergency spill response.

• Provide recycling and disposal services for various waste types.

• Conduct on-site services at Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAAs), Main/Central Accumulation Areas (MAA/CAA), and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

• Provide training on hazardous waste, DOT, and HAZWOPER regulations.

• Offer 24/7 emergency spill response services with a 2-hour response time.

• Maintain a centralized, internet-accessible waste tracking system.
