Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive hazardous waste collection services for VACCHCS, including recycling and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, asbestos, biological, lab packs, radiological, DEA controlled substance, and universal wastes. Key services include:
- On-site inspections and waste pick-up at Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAAs), Main/Central Accumulation Areas (MAA/CAAs), and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) across multiple locations in Fresno, Visalia, Merced, and Oakhurst, CA.
- Providing training to VA employees on hazardous waste, DOT, and HAZWOPER regulations.
- Offering 24/7 emergency spill response services with a 2-hour response time.
- Maintaining a centralized, internet-accessible waste tracking system.
- Performing waste minimization audits and providing recommendations.
- Furnishing all necessary containers, packing materials, labels, and transportation.
