Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
- Fabrication, graphics production, delivery, and installation of exhibit components and graphics.
- Generation of shop and engineering drawings.
- Conducting site visits for meetings, dimension measurements, and installation.
- Installation of new and existing exhibit elements, including light track services and carpet tile flooring.
- Project management covering scheduling, site management, fabrication, and installation.
- Adherence to museum quality standards, structural engineering requirements, and electrical codes.
- Production and installation of graphics based on provided electronic files.
- Development and delivery of an Operations Manual.
Key Requirements & Clarifications
- The Library will provide all artifact casework (Types 1, 2, 3) and AV Media hardware/programming. The contractor is responsible for case risers and plinths.
- Graphic files will be provided in a "production ready" format.
- The Library has a Mount Maker; the contractor's responsibility is limited to collaboration.
- Offerors must meet all solicitation requirements, including insurance and on-site staff training.
- Specific Luxam fixture codes are clarified; the contractor is not required to purchase fixtures for the "Spine" as they already exist.
- Adherence to AOC Design Standards (Attachment J-5) is required.
Contract Details & Submission
- Contract Type: Firm-fixed price.
- Period of Performance: Base period from April 30, 2026, to February 1, 2027.
- Evaluation: Proposals will be evaluated based on Technical Approach, Management Approach, Corporate Experience, Past Performance, and Price. Non-price factors are significantly more important than Price.
- Experience: Offerors must demonstrate experience with at least three (3) recent projects of similar size and scope.
- Submission: Proposals must be submitted in two volumes (Technical and Price) via email. The proposal due date was extended via Amendment 0001.
