Scope of Work
The FUSE consists of four types of equipment, each with specific desired capabilities:
- FUSE Type I (Aerial Lift/Bucket Truck): Requires a 40 ft. work height at 40 ft. reach, 46kV insulation, a 1,500 lbs. jib lift capacity, a 2-man bucket (700 lbs. capacity), a 3,000 lbs. capstan, and a JP-8 compatible tactical vehicle engine.
- FUSE Type II (Auger/Derrick Truck): Requires a 44 ft. sheave height, 30,000 lbs. retracted weight capacity, 12,000 lbs. lift capacity at 10 ft. radius, 180-degree dig radius, 46kV insulation, a 40 ft. bucket work height at 20 ft. reach, an 11,000 lbs. turntable winch, a 3,000 lbs. capstan, and a JP-8 compatible tactical vehicle engine.
- FUSE Type III (Combination Pole/Reel Trailer): Must accommodate poles 40-65 ft. long, carry two 50-inch or four 36-inch reels, and have a 12,000 lbs. payload capacity.
- FUSE Type IV (Cable Handling Trailer): Must accommodate reels up to 78 in. diameter and 56 in. wide, carry up to 14,000 lbs., feature a hydraulic system for reel rotation and handling, provide 150,000 in-lbs. of torque, and include a 3,000 lbs. capstan.
