Scope of Work
This requirement involves the complete demolition and replacement of the existing Education chair lift at FCI Oxford, which has exceeded its service life. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing a new ADA-compliant inclined platform lift, with Garaventa GSL Artira specified as the Basis of Design or an approved equal. The new system must include a complete platform assembly, drive and guide-rail components, obstruction-sensing devices, passenger restraining arms, retractable boarding ramps, kick plates, safety lighting, hand grips, low-voltage controls, emergency stop features, and keyless operation. Additionally, a new drive cabinet, integrated disconnect, battery backup system, and call stations at each landing are required, along with all associated programming, testing, and adjustments.
All work must comply with ASME A18.1, ADA-ABA requirements, NFPA, NEC, and all applicable Federal, State, and local codes. Installation must be performed by manufacturer-certified technicians. The contractor will also provide all required submittals, safety plans, quality control documentation, testing, and closeout materials. The performance period is 140 Calendar Days from the issuance of the notice to proceed.
