Scope of Work
This project requires a responsible entity to provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to remove existing water softeners and install a new centralized water softener for the entire institution. Key requirements include:
- Removal and proper disposal of existing water softeners.
- Replacement of piping to create a bypass around former locations.
- Procurement and installation of a new commercial-grade centralized water softener system, sized for the facility's domestic water demand.
- Specific system components: three 48"x72" fiberglass tanks, 120 cu ft of high-capacity cation resin, specific sub-fill, three Fleck 3900 control valves with NXT 2 Controls, and three 3" Clack stainless steel flow meters.
- The system must be set up as a progressive flow system.
- Installation must adhere to all Federal, National, and local guidelines, codes, and regulations, including seismic zone requirements, environmental compliance, Life Safety, NFPA, and ADA-ABA.
- Contractor responsibilities include maintaining a clean site, daily debris removal, proper waste disposal, and ensuring security clearances for all personnel.
- FBOP will provide water and 120-volt circuits; the contractor is responsible for all other equipment and materials.
- Work hours are typically Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
