This solicitation is for the "Paging System Upgrade and Expansion" at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital and campus. The objective is to mitigate the risk of loss of life during emergencies by ensuring a reliable overhead paging system. The current system is frequently down, creating a safety issue.

• Provide, install, and test a dedicated, independent, underground fiber optic connection.

• Installation includes 6-strand indoor/outdoor armored plenum single-mode (OS2) fiber optic cable, accessories, and installation to Buildings 4 and 12.

• Installation includes an 18 or 24-strand indoor armored plenum single-mode (OS2) fiber optic cable, accessories, and installation from C-Wing Core (Rm. C-125) to the Penthouse.

• Includes 1U fiber drawers and LC terminations as needed.

• Project management is required.

• Fiber optic cable must terminate in the same room as the paging/network equipment in each building.

• Patch panels must be properly labeled.

• Contractor must have successfully completed at least two similar fiber installation projects previously.

• Installation must be performed by installers with previous fiber installation experience.

• Firestopping is needed if using existing or new cores on 2-hour floors.

• ACM abatement is required.

• OTDR testing (including documentation and troubleshooting) is required.

• Period of Performance: Notice to proceed is the date of award. Performance, including ordering supplies and completion of work, will take place within 60 days after receipt of order (ARO). The base contract period is 07-01-2026 to 09-30-2026.

• Offers must be submitted by 06-30-2026, 5 P.M. Central Time.

• Late submissions will be treated in accordance with FAR 52.212-1(f).
