Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive maintenance services for 150lb AMEREX Model 775/776 fire extinguishers, including:
- Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing: Perform 12-year hydrostatic or ultrasonic testing in accordance with NFPA 10 Chapters 7 & 8, and DIN 14406. This includes internal and external examinations, recharging, and record-keeping.
- Logistics: Pick-up and transport extinguishers from Spangdahlem Air Base to a capable facility, or perform services on-base using portable test equipment.
- Certification & Expertise: Personnel must be certified to maintain AMEREX 775/776 extinguishers, knowledgeable on the 3M™ Novec™ 1230 Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and capable of performing inspections on short notice (1-2 weeks) without assistance. Proper tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are required.
- Parts & Labeling: Ability to acquire replacement parts. Replace labels to show next due date and seals per AMEREX guidelines.
